- The painting was unveiled on Late Night With David Letterman, where Manson explained that it depicted him as he imagined himself after a few more years of drinking absinthe.
- The painting's working title was When I Get Old (I would like to have a drink).
- The painting is "William S. Burroughs inspired." According to the 2002 MTV interview, Marilyn Manson Gets Hanged.
- The painting will be featured in Los Angeles Khastoo Gallery's, The Alchemy Of Things Unknown" (a visual meditation on transformation) exhibition on July 31st, 2010.
