Tarot cards
During the Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) era, a series of twelve tarot cards (out of fourteen commissioned) were released, depicting Marilyn Manson and other bandmembers posing as figures on the original tarot card. The cards were included in the UK versions of the "The Fight Song" single. The cards are modeled after the Rider-Waite tarot deck, which is the most commonly used deck of tarot cards used in the English-speaking world today.

THE MARILYN MANSON TAROT
One of the original purposes of tarot cards was to tell the future. A normal tarot deck contains 22 Major Arcana cards. The Manson deck, however, contains only 9[1]. Each of these cards bears a descriptive title and a symbolic picture which is meant to awaken in the card reader's mind, a connected story considering the trend of the caards. The whole set may be collected with the purchase of CD1 and CD2 of the new Marilyn Manson single "The Fight Song".
How to read the cards[edit]
- You may either deal and read the cards yourself or have a friend to do it for you.
- Place the cards in numerical sequence.
- Think of a question that you would like answered by the interpretation of the cards.
- Shuffly the cards whilst thinking only of this question and then place face down.
- Six cards should be dealt in sequence in the following positions. (see diagram)
- Each placement has a meaning in relation to the question as well as to the individual interpretation of each card. The card reader should extract the answer to the question by interpreting the meanings of the cards and the positions in which they have fallen. (see card and position meanings)

Positions[edit]
THE POSITIONS:
CARD NUMBER 1 - PRESENT POSITION
Atmosphere in which the questioner is presently working and living. Shows the area of influence in which the questioner presently exists.
CARD NUMBER 2 - IMMEDIATE INFLUECE
Shows the nature of the influence or immediate sphere of involvement or obstacles wich lie just ahead.
CARD NUMBER 3 - GOAL OR DESTINY
Shows the ultimate goal or destiny of the questioner. Indicates the best can be accomplished by the questioner based upon the existing circumstances.
CARD NUMBER 4 - DISTANT PAST FOUNDATION
Shows the broad and basic events and influences which existed in the past and upon which the presnet[2] events are taking place.
CARD NUMBER 5 - RECENT PAST EVENTS
Shows the most recent sphere of influence or events which have just passed or which are just passing.
CARD NUMBER 6 - FUTURE INFLUENCE
Shows the sphere of influence that is coming into being in the near future in a broad sense.
