News:2026/08/14 Marilyn Manson releases new album One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 and new single "Unalive"

On August 14, 2026, Marilyn Manson released his thirteenth studio album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, through Nuclear Blast Records. The album serves as a direct continuation of One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1 which was released in November 2024.

The record features nine tracks, one of them previously released during the chapter one era, and continues Manson's collaboration with musician and composer Tyler Bates, who left the band at the beginning of 2026 and who has produced a total of four albums for Manson, including The Pale Emperor and Heaven Upside Down. Both chapters were recorded during the same sessions.

The first single, "Exit Wound" was released in June. "Front Toward Enemy" was re-released and followed as another advance single, while the music video for "Unalive" premiered on the album's release day.

Musically, the second chapter continues the direction established on its predecessor, combining a dark atmosphere, and a more cinematic sound with the melodic approach characteristic of Manson's later work. The artist previously described the album as the conclusion to the story begun on the first chapter.

Meanwhile, on the eve of the album's release, an interactive website went live, featuring Manson's watercolor paintings used as the album artwork, as well as his comments on each track. YOUCANTDIEYOUNG

The record is available digitally, including in 24-bit/96 kHz FLAC, as well as on physical formats.

The new release also arrives shortly before Manson's extensive tour with Rob Zombie which begins in August 2026.
