Concentration Camp Sexy

Concentration Camp Sexy is a painting by Marilyn Manson depicting a green-colored nude woman, who looks emaciated. It was exhibited in Manson's 2010 art show titled Hell, Etc.

The work likely alludes to eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia. People who have extremely little fat and muscle tissue as a result of eating-disorder-linked starvation are often described as resembling prisoners from Nazi concentration camps, many of whom were starved to death as part of The Holocaust.

Trivia[edit]

  • In thematic precedent, the lyrics to New Model No. 15 ("I'm the new, new model / I've got nothing inside") arguably reference (among other things) voluntary starvation and particularly its prevalence among fashion models.
