"As Sick as the Secrets Within" is the fourth track of the 2024 album One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1 by Marilyn Manson.

Manson's commentary on the song, which was published on the interactive album website:

“	"As Sick as the Secrets Within", to me this song is the heart of chapter one. It's alchemical, it's biblical, it's deeply personal. For me it was flexing muscles I didn't know that I had or I would need to break the exoskeleton, to shed the past, to unhaunt myself. For me this song isn't simply about sobriety, it's about outsmarting your demons in whatever form they have chosen to harm you. Musically, all of, all of the parts really inspired me to bring it all together vocally and lyrically. Something that I do often on this album, on both albums actually, I do it in the bridge if "Nod If You Understand" and I do it here also in the bridge when I sing the part or I speak the part "I was never your taxidermy." There's the narrative that's coming from first person and then there's always this other voice that comes in and I'm not really sure where that voice comes from but it be... it became a style of writing on this album unconsciously or sometimes intentionally. But when I listen back to it, it's an... it's unusual experience that I can almost hear from an outside point of view. The painting that I chose to go along with this is obviously the album cover but it's also in the music video which was my first time doing that in quite some time and it was my first time approaching it in the way that I did and I actually finished the painting on camera when we were filming the music video. It was done, the painting was almost complete but I wanted to complete it on camera to make a point about the song and about the art itself and and how it related to the lyrics.	”
